We are seeking to recruit a Strategic Account Manager to join the Privilege team.

About Privilege Finance:

Privilege Finance is a specialist funder with over 20 years’ experience in financing projects which reduce carbon and mitigate against climate change. One million UK houses are now being powered by green energy, as a result of over £600m of funding provided by Privilege. In addition to the provision of funding solutions and expertise, Privilege develops, owns and operates renewable energy plants, and has an experienced sales and technical delivery teams working across the UK. Privilege works in close partnership with clients using an entire ‘project lifecycle’ approach, providing support services that enable smooth project delivery, commissioning, and optimisation.

About the role:

Privilege Finance lends to a range of clients, ranging from legacy assets through to renewable energy projects. This role will proactively manage client relationships across the assigned portfolio to understand their businesses, monitor their financial and operational performance and ensure they can service their loan agreements.

The role will ensure that loan repayments adhere to agreed terms, and will identify any early warnings of developing problems that require rapid action. The role will also implement remedial actions when accounts are in arrears, taking steps which can include agreeing revised repayment plans, recovering secured assets, debt re-financing and placing businesses into administration.

Site visits and face to face meetings with clients on a regular basis is an essential part of the role.

Responsibilities and key duties include:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients that promote trust and support their lending needs

· Meet regularly with clients, including face to face and site visits, preparing monthly reports on account performance and risks for review by the Executive team

· Ensure each client submits the required Management Information (MI) per agreed schedule and review the MI for any signs of under-performance or warning signs of potential distress, and escalate these via the monthly reports

· Interrogate financial models, cashflow forecasts, creditor and debtor reports and P&L summaries to analyse the financial strength of the clients and their ability to service the debt

· Regularly monitor operational performance data and live information for assets to ensure that the real world operational performance is consistent with the MI data being provided, and query any discrepancies

· Work closely with Credit team to define and agree with Clients any necessary remedial action plans where arrears or loan default events occur

· Prepare concise and accurate Credit Applications for approval by the business for any new agreements, or amendments to terms for existing agreements

Salary range

£40-50K per year dependent on experience
