Recognition in AD industry awards

Privilege Finance has been shortlisted for the Best Financing Award in the AD and Biogas Industry Awards 2020, organised by ADBA and the WBA. Meanwhile, a Privilege funded plant, Lanes Farm Energy, has been shortlisted for the Best Medium to Large Biogas Plant.

Chris Winward, chief commercial officer at Privilege Finance, reveals that the team are delighted to be shortlisted and looking forward to the upcoming virtual awards ceremony.

“It has been a busy year for the AD industry. We’ve had the Covid-19 lockdown impacting the sourcing and distribution of feedstock materials; government seeking evidence through industry consultation on future policy; and the release of ADBA’s future of biomethane report in March.

“Now more than ever, I think it’s important to celebrate the industry’s successes and innovation, and the awards present a fantastic opportunity for this.

“I’m extremely proud of our team’s expertise and the service that we offer at Privilege, and it’s also great that Lanes Farm Energy has been shortlisted. This particular plant has an outstanding ethos where they continuously ‘push the boundaries’ to improve plant efficiency and resilience.”

Tel Sultan, director at Lanes Farm Energy explains that the plant exceeded its initial target of 935 m3 per hour injection rate in February, just a month after entering full production. The team has also created a process optimisation dashboard to improve efficiencies and has worked collaboratively with their farmers supplying feedstock to ensure energy crops are grown to the specific requirements for AD.

“We’re very pleased to be recognised in the shortlist and are eagerly awaiting hearing the outcome in October,” he says.

The awards will be held virtually on 8 October from 3-4:30pm. Click here to be part of the event.
