New head of credit joins Privilege Finance

A new head of credit has joined the team of specialist energy from waste funders at Privilege Finance.

Andrew Dillnutt, who has 15 years of experience in credit risk roles at leading banks, will be responsible for overseeing lending, helping assess new market opportunities and ensuring sustainable business growth.

“In a competitive market, it’s important lenders provide a service above that of simple debt funding,” says Andrew.

“I’m impressed by the industry knowledge, project management and operational support expertise within the Privilege team. This allows us to understand our customers and work closely with them during the project lifecycle to obtain and maintain optimum performance.”

Andrew brings experience and in-depth knowledge of risk assessment developed while in his previous roles at Barclays and Santander.

“It’s important to take a holistic view of a business, to understand both the financial and non-financial risks and to have confidence in the management team.

“It’s fantastic to be part of a market leading company in specialist renewables finance and one which is making a genuine contribution towards achieving the UK’s net zero carbon emissions target,” he says.

“Having joined the team during the coronavirus lockdown, I’m very much looking forward to finally meeting my new colleagues in person, having been made so welcome virtually.”

Chris Winward, chief commercial officer adds that he and the rest of the Privilege team are delighted to welcome Andrew.

“Andrew adds even more strength to our driven and talented team, as we continue help fund the renewable energy sectors to help the UK reach its net zero targets as soon as possible.”
